So what can you expect to be doing during the course? We will be camping out, having fun and doing adventure-based activities that highlight communication and problem-solving patterns! Day OneDay one starts with an orientation to the course followed by a series of traditional adventure-initiatives and introductory goal-setting sessions with each couple. Day Two Day two starts participants to the DiSC® dimensions of behavior followed by a review of each couples individual results of their DiSC assessment.
After an instruction on how to use map and compass, each couple will participate in an Orienteering Course with worksheets at each destination point that highlight beliefs, values, styles, goals, and mission.
Couples will be challenged later on Day two of the course to work together as they prepare a meal over an open fire using an excavated kitchen as used by the Continental Army during the American Revolutionary War. Click here for historical information on excavated kitchens of the type used in this course. Day two ends with individual coaching sessions with each couple to discuss their experiences and learnings from the course. Day Three The morning of Day three focuses on trust activities. Following lunch, participants will participate in "solos" for personal reflection. At this same time, coaching sessions focused on action planning will be held with each couple.
